Airports Authority of India observing vigilance awareness week

Airports Authority of India (AAI) is observing the vigilance awareness week from Monday to Saturday as directed by the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC).
On Monday, integrity pledge was given by respective head of departments, in presence of all officers and staff to reaffirm his/her resolve to fight corruption and lead by exhibiting integrity in personal behaviour. The event was held at the operational offices of Chennai airport, new operational offices of regional executive director (Southern region) and Chennai airport project and air traffic service block.
Deepak Shastri, airport director, Chennai, in his address, spoke on the importance of the need for celebration of the vigilance awareness week by all government department. He underlined the need for creating a corruption-free environment, conducive for high level performance by each official and the requirement for exercising preventive checks to avert and curb irregular/malpractices and misconducts.
