Passenger held with Rs 4.76L cash in Rs 2K notes

Vasco: The Goa Customs at Dabolim international airport seized new two thousand rupees notes and ciggarattes amounting rupees 1.50 lakh in two different cases on Sunday.
According to customs officers, a man was trying to board Sharjah bound flight from Goa international airport. On examination of his bag, Rs 2000 new currenct worth Rs 4.76 lakh was found . The identity is the accused is being investigated and the reasons behind carrying huge amount of India currency abroad.
In another case, the Customs nabbed three men who had come down from abroad with boxes of ciggarattes worth rupees 1.50 lakh. All three are Kerala natives. Their idnetity too is being investigated.
