Man arrested for possessing counterfeit ticket.

Use of fake tickets to gain access in airports has recently become a trend. Eight people have already been arrested since February. Yet, in another incident, it has been reported that a man was arrested at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi for possessing a counterfeit ticket.

The incident came into light at around 1.30 am. The CISF (Central Industrial Security Force) surveillance team present at the airport noticed a man leaving the airport premises from the exit gate 7 of T3 terminal, the officials said. On this suspicious movement, the team approached the passenger and asked him to stop.

They checked his ticket. On investigation, the team found out that the ticket he used for entering the airport was modified. The passenger admitted to his crime and he revealed that the ticket he possessed was a ticket to Amsterdam of Jet Airways flight number 9W-234.

On further interrogation, the passenger further said that he used the fake ticket to get entry inside the airport since he won’t be allowed to enter without a ticket. He said that with the ticket, he could see off his brother who was travelling to Amsterdam on the same flight.
