Mangaluru: Mangaluru City Police on Thursday arrested Mohammad Nazeer of Mulki, wanted in connection with an accident death case registered in Mangaluru North Traffic police station limits in 2014.
He was detained at Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) at Kenjar based on a look out circular (LoC) issued by the police t0 the immigration authorities, Hanumantharaya, deputy commissioner of police (crime and traffic) said. The LoC was issued a year ago.
The accused had left the country while the trial against him was underway and had not responded to court warrants to stand trial, the DCP said adding police subsequently issued the LoC against Mohammad Nazeer since the case was long pending in the court.
