Helipad at Miyapur on the anvil

Hyderabad: The Central Industrial Security Force is increasing security and setting up temporary immigration checks at Begumpet airport for delegates to the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES).

According to reports, only Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union ministers will be using the airport.
“We have not received instructions regarding any other dignitaries using Begumpet airport,” a source in the CISF said.

The flight of US presidential advisor, Ivanka Trump, will land at Shamshabad airport.

The state government is working on building a helipad at Miyapur and road connectivity from the helipad to Miyapur Metro Rail station where the Prime Minister is expected to inaugurate the Metro.

The transport committee of the GES has finalised the route from the airports and the hotels where the delegates will be staying to the venues they will visit.

“We have conducted trial runs. We have deployed drivers and guides with good English-speaking skills from the tourism department,” said executive director, RTC Greater Hyderabad zone, A. Purushotham Naik.
