WHO certifies Hyderabad Airport for good storage practices

Hyderabad: Hyderabad: World Health Organisation has certified Hyderabad Airport with Good Storage and Distribution Practices (WHO-GSDP), the GMR Hyderabad International Airport (GHIAL) announced.

Airport’s Cargo Terminal got certified after a six–month long evaluation process. Telangana Today quoted SGK Kishore, the CEO of GHIAL, as saying: “Our rigorous quality standards, speciality logistics expertise and meticulous execution, enable us to meet the demands of the Pharma City and optimise the supply chain for our customers globally.”

Terminal’s transportation, handling and storage processes, quality policies, facility management, equipment maintenance and security were all evaluated as a part of the process.

Being India’s Pharma hub, pharma products have a major chunk of Hyderabad Airport’s 60 percent cargo exports.
