Kerala Haj flight schedule announced

Malappuram: The first Haj flight of this season, carrying pilgirms from Kerala, Lakshadweep and Mahe will leave for Jeddah on August 1. The Haj committee of India (HCI) announced the detailed schedule of haj flight from Kerala on Wednesday.
The first flight carrying pilgrims will depart Nedumbassery airport in Kochi at 5.35am. A total of 29 flight services carrying 410 pilgrims each, would be operated from Nedumbassery to Jeddah. The last flight service will leave Nedumbassery on August 15. The return journey from Madina airport will begin on September 12 and the final flight of return journey will leave Madina on September 25.
Considering increase in number of Haj pilgrims from state this year the state Haj committee had decided to arrange enhanced facilities in the haj camp at Nedumbassery airport. The haj manifest with the details of flight details of each pilgrim would be released soon.
The HCI had allotted a total of 10, 981 seats for the state this year including an additional 3423 seats which remained vacant in other states.
