No government nod for houses on land for new airport

Jaipur: Buildings, houses and plots situated on the reserve land for Shivdaspura airport will not be regularized.
The Urban Development and Housing (UDH) department has turned down the proposal by several developers who have submitted a memorandum to regularize their land as the new airport still remains on papers.
The developers were stumped after advocate general (AG) and committee constituted by UDH minister Shrichand Kriplanai recommended state government not to regularise the reserve land.
“As per section 54 (B) of Jaipur Development Authority Act 1982 , there is a provision that land reserve for any project cannot be regularised even if it is not acquired. This was recommend by the AG and the committee constituted by the minister. The committee also mentioned that high court has banned regularisation of such land,” an official said.
