Silchar: Customs Department along with CISF personnel seized ten gold biscuits weighing 1.6 Kg from two passengers at Silchar’s Kumbhirgram Airport on Sunday.
The two passengers Barkhat Khan and Rajendra Sibhar who had 5 gold biscuits each in their stomach, were nabbed by Customs and CISF personnel when they were about to board New Delhi bound Jet Airways flight from Silchar.
Each gold biscuits weighed 160 grams and were brought into Silchar from neighbouring Myanmar via Mizoram, reported custom officials on condition of anonymity.
