'Indian' Plan to Fly Mangalore-UAE Direct

Dubai: As the new runway works are nearing completion at Bajpe airport, more and more airlines are showing keen interest in flying to Mangalore either on the domestic or on international levels.
The latest entry to the list is "Indian". Earlier, Kingfisher Airlines has already created a landmark by landing its A 319 plane, followed by Air India Express which is soon finalizing plans to fly from Dubai-Mangalore direct on May 7, 2006. Air Deccan has also announced its Mangalore-Mumbai flight operations from May 2006.
Chairman and Managing Director of "Indian" Vishwapati Trivedi, in a letter to Rajesh Sequeira, the main co-coordinator of the Karnataka NRI Forum in the UAE, has officially stated that "Indian" is keen on commencing operations of the direct international flights from Mangalore airport to UAE once the upgradation process of the Mangalore airport is completed.
