DAE gets invitation to develop India's airports

Dubai: Dubai Aerospace Enterprises (DAE), the emirate's new initiative to bring in aviation technology and expertise to the Middle East, has received interest from India to develop, upgrade and expand the country's airports, a top official said.
"India is an important and emerging market and we will have a strong presence once we set up the organisation," said Dr Mohammad Al Zarouni, DAE's managing director told Gulf News in an interview on Tuesday.
DAE has also started negotiations with the Department of Civil Aviation and Dubai World Central authorities on extending its role in bringing in investment, technology expertise and knowledge into the 140-square kilometre Jebel Ali Airport City (Jaac) the world's largest single-site greenfield airport development to date.
