Thomas Cook’s co-branded travel card on anvil

Mumabi: Thomas Cook (India) is in discussions with various banks to launch a white-label co-branded travel credit card. The travel card would be targeted at people who are value travelers and would spend on overseas travel every year or two.
At present, among the other cards in the travel space are the ones from Indian Airlines with American Express, while the other is from Jet Airways with Citibank. In both cases, one can accumulate mileage points for the respective airline by using the card.
The USP of the card from Thomas Cook (I) is the cost savings, since in addition to accumulating points on every purchase, it would cost much less to buy a Thomas Cook product the second time onwards, thereby reducing the cost of the total travel package considerably.
