Business Line reports that market outlook on the aviation sector is still cautious despite the drop in crude-oil prices. Analysts have opined that the benefits accruing from any reduction in ATF prices may be neutralised by the intense price competition among the industry players.
Currently, all the players have imposed a price surcharge to cover past hikes in ATF prices. ATF prices have come down by almost 8 per cent for October on the back of declining crude prices. However, no airline has yet reduced surcharge given that business has not been growing, said analysts.
