Alteon opens regional aerospace training centre in Singapore

Singapore: Alteon, a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, opened its regional training centre in Singapore on Thursday.
The 100 million Singapore dollar (65 million US) training centre has the capacity to instruct more than 6,000 pilot crew annually.
'Simulator training is fast becoming one of the most efficient ways to train flight crew,' said Trade and Industry Minister Lim Hng Kiang at the opening ceremony.
'With the ability to simulate a wide arrange of scenarios, to replicate real-life experiences in a safe environment, Alteon has carved an important milestone in aerospace training,' he said.
Alteon, a leading provider of aerospace training, recently signed an agreement with Air India to deliver Boeing simulators to Mumbai.
