Ethiopian Airlines sued for delay of delivery of goods

A Dar es Salaam businessman, Mr Deogracious Masuki, has filed a suit at the court against the manager of Ethiopian Airlines demanding 15,350 dollars in damages for loss of business and delay of delivery of his goods. The case will be heard on April 18 before Resident Magistrate Elizabeth Mkwizu .
Mr Masuki alleged that the airline failed to deliver his cargo from Mumbai, India in three days as agreed upon on November 5, 2005. The cargo arrived on November 21, 2005 but minus one item out of five originally handed over to the carrier.
He said the manager failed to give him good reasons as to why his consignment was delayed for 14 days, well after the Idd el fitr festival for which they were meant.
