Another B-737-800 joins Turkmenistan's fleet; Ahmedabad service to start this summer

This is the second airplane delivered to Ashgabat by the world-famous American company in 2007 and the seventeenth airplane to have joined the air fleet of the State National Service Turkmenhowayollary since independence. It should be reminded that the first Boeing 737-800 arrived in the capital's airport this February. The total cost of two new airliners is US $ 90 million.
According to their technical characteristics, Boeings 737-800 can make non-stop flights from Ashgabat to virtually any place in Asia and Europe. Thus, the Turkmen airlines will be able to expand the geography of regular international flights and increase the number of flights on existing routes. It is expected that Turkmenhowayollary will launch a new flight - Ashgabt-Ahmedabat (India) already this summer. Apart from that, negotiations are under way to open new flights to Paris and Minsk.
It should be reminded that new airplanes have been built specifically for Turkmenistan at the expense of the state funds, i.e. they are fully owned by Turkmenistan.
