Judicial custody for Sri Lankans held with fake passports

New Delhi: Two Sri Lankan nationals, who were arrested from IGI airport with fake British passports, were no Saturday remanded to judicial custody by a local court. The duo, on April 11, had managed to sneak past the immigration officials with fake passports and were caught by the Jet Airways staff while boarding a Delhi-London flight. They were then handed over to immigration officials and later to the Delhi Police, which booked them for forgery and cheating. The accused, identified as Yogendra and Kapilan had arrived in Delhi from Kathmandu, said sources. Airport sources said that two foreign nationals, probably Britishers, secured two boarding passes from the Jet Airways counter at the airport and then handed them over to the two Sri Lankans.
