Sahara may stop cheap tickets

Air travellers will testify it is often easy to find a cheap Air Sahara ticket, especially when booking closer to departure, at less than the price quoted by a low-cost airline. When Jet Airways takes over Sahara, this will surely end.
We did a sample search for low-cost airfares on the Internet. In the Bangalore-Delhi sector, Air Sahara offers the lowest fare available in the next one month. The cheapest ticket between April 13 and May 12 is on Air Sahara on May 3 and the price is Rs 3,050. Again on the Chennai-Delhi route, Air Sahara offers the second cheapest ticket in the next 30 days at Rs 2,850 on May 8.
And it is just a wee bit costlier than IndiGo’s Rs 2,824. Between Lucknow and Delhi too, Air Sahara comes second with Rs 2,812 being the fare right through the third week of April.
Precisely for this reason, Go Air Managing Director Jeh Wadia feels relieved.
