Emergency landing for IA aircraft

Mumbai: Over 100 passengers of an Indian Airlines Kolkata-Mumbai flight had a harrowing time on Tuesday, after they heard a blast in the aircraft about 20 minutes after take off.
Though the aircraft did an emergency landing and the passengers were safe, there were more anxious moments as the flyers were asked to board the same aircraft after a couple of hours for the flight.
The reason: the sound of blast was caused due to a suspected lightning strike. According to the airlines, its engineers had found the aircraft safe enough for flying, after inspection. But that was not enough to pacify some of the passengers.
