Jet Airways gears up for competition

Mumbai: Profits may be eluding most of the Indian airline companies but the last one-week has seen airline promoters showing off their new aircrafts.
So if it was Vijay Mallya last week, now it is the turn of Jet Airways with its new looks and familiar string of celebrities and politicians.
The brand new Boeing 777-300 and Airbus 330 will be a part of the 20 new planes Jet Airways is inducting in its fleet in order to ensure that it is ready to step up the heat on competition on the international routes.
The new Airbus 330 aims to cater to the needs of not just the high-end customers but also the bulk, which fly the economy class.
Jet Airways aims to raise money soon to ensure its fleet size increases to 81 and most of that will be brand new aircrafts.
