Kingfisher joins Northwest WorldPerks program

Eagan, Minn. : Northwest Airlines today announced that Kingfisher Airlines, based in Bangalore, India, has joined the Northwest WorldPerks program as a partner airline.
The partnership between Northwest and Kingfisher provides enhanced program benefits to Northwest’s WorldPerks members traveling within India. WorldPerks members can earn and redeem frequent flyer miles on Kingfisher, to 28 key Indian business and leisure destinations with its new fleet of 26 Airbus aircraft.
Northwest, through its joint venture partnership with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, has provided service to India since 1997, and currently offers 18 weekly flights from the U.S. to India via Amsterdam. Joint venture flights serve Mumbai, Delhi and Hyderabad.
The partnership also includes convenient electronic ticketing and through check-in services for all passengers when connecting between Northwest and Kingfisher flights. In addition, Northwest WorldClub members and World Business Class customers will have access to Kingfisher’s airport lounges in India.
Northwest Airlines is one of the world’s largest airlines with hubs at Detroit, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Memphis, Tokyo and Amsterdam, and approximately 1,400 daily departures.
