Stranded Sri Lankan Cricketers To Return Via India

Sri Lanka's cricket World Cup team, stranded in London following cancelled emirates flights to Colombo in the wake of Sunday's tiger bombing raid, will return home through India, official sources said.
The players were due to travel home on emirates flight EK348 via Dubai on Thursday, but the team's travel plans went haywire after their official carrier Emirates pulled outflights to the capital city following the Tamil rebel bombing raid, Sri Lanka cricket officials said.
"We now hope to bring to Trivandrum and from there get a connection on Sri Lankan airlines to Colombo," a cricket official said.
Emirates and Hong Kong's Cathay Pacific indefinitely suspended flights to Sri Lanka after air raids by Tamil Tigers.
