Ahmedabad: Passengers on board GoAir flight G8104 claim that the flight they paid for failed to provide them with even basic facilities – the irate passengers claim that the air-conditioning of their flight was not functioning throughout the journey.
After the cooling system allegedly failed, the plane’s 113 passengers were stuck in a virtual mid-air furnace with the travellers literally sweating it out.
What followed was something the crew did not anticipate – a passenger captured on his mobile a heated argument that ensued between flight attendants, the pilot and the rest of the plane’s occupants, as the latter protested the intolerable conditions finally demanded that they be compensated for the harrowing experience.
When the flight finally arrived, chaos reigned as angry passengers of the Mumbai bound Delhi-Ahmedabad flight refused to disembark demanding compensation for 'inefficient service'. As a result, the plane was held up at Ahmedabad airport for over six hours before it finally took off again for Mumbai.
With the airlines refusing to give in to the compensation demands, the inconvenienced passengers have now decided to knock on the doors of the consumer court.
