New Delhi: Members of Parliament will hold a meeting with private airport operators to review the progress of their work and their future plans.
This was decided at a meeting of the Parliamentary Consultative Committee of the Civil Aviation Ministry on Friday after the members held deliberations on the functioning of the private airport operators.
Replying to concerns expressed by members over recent incidents of security breach at airports, Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel said the Ministry would seriously consider all aspects of the issue and the apprehensions raised and carry out a comprehensive review with the Home Ministry to plug all possible loopholes in the security arrangements.
On the proliferation of aviation training institutes, Civil Aviation Secretary Ashok Chawla assured the members that the Ministry would consider whether any policy or legal intervention was required to streamline their operations, an official release said.
