Capt Gopi, Co-Promoters' stake value at today's price

Bangalore: The three promoters of Air Deccan, Capt GR Gopinath, Vishnu Raval and Capt KJ Samuel, together have a stake worth about Rs 500 crore based on the valuation of the company by Kingfisher Airlines.
Vijay Mallya’s company has offered to pay Rs 550 crore for a 26% stake which translates to an enterprise valuation of Rs 2,115 crore for Deccan Aviation (Air Deccan is the name of the low-cost carrier).
The three have a 22.13% (22.15 million shares) stake in the company. Capt Gopinath has 10.95 million shares followed by Capt Samuel who has 8.34 million and Mr Raval 2.86 million. At the enterprise valuation of Rs 2,115 crore, the Air Deccan promoters’ holding is thus valued at Rs 468.04 crore.
Among the other prominent shareholders is Lachman Dass Ladhani, the 54-year old Coke bottler who is an investor/director. As per the filings with the stock exchanges (as of March 31, 2007), Mr Ladhani’s bottling company Brindavan Beverages has a 7.98% stake in the company while Mr Ladhani holds 1.06% in his personal capacity.
LIC is another big shareholder with a 1.09% stake while ICICI Bank has a 1.42% stake.
