Chandigarh: The Jagson Airlines operating between Delhi-Chandigarh-Kullu-Dharamsala sector has discontinued it’s service from Chandigarh. Giving Chandigarh a ditch the airline is directly flying it’s M1-172 Helicopter between Delhi and Kullu. The airline was earlier operating thrice a day from here and according to airport authorities not a single flight of Jagson airlines has arrived in the city in the last week.
The Jagson Airlines officials in the city maintain that the services to Kullu from here have been temporarily discontinued and would be resumed soon. Srinivas Bansal, Airport Manager, Jagson Airlines provides reasons. “It is just a matter of time before we resume our services from here. We had to discontinue our operation due to technical problems in our aircraft and as soon as things are sorted out we will be back in business”.
However, industry sources say the airline is showing smart business acumen by deliberately discontining it’s operations from here. Owing to the peak season the airline is getting plenty of passengers from Delhi itself, and it seems they have abondoned Chandigarh for a while. Jagson currently charges about Rs10,000 per ticket to reach Kullu.
