Qatar Airways to fly to US from 6 Indian cities

Indian flyers from Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram and Chennai airports will benefit from the expanded schedules of Qatar Airways.
Eyeing a whopping 40 percent yearly growth in passenger turn out, Qatar Airways on Thursday announced launch of flights to New York and Washington from six Indian cities via Doha.
Indian flyers from Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram and Chennai airports will benefit from the expanded schedules.
The flights to US have come from Qatar airways close on the heels of launching international services to major centres-- Lagos, Bali, Ho Chi Minh City and Chennai.
The addition of New York to the Airways' International destinations is to be started by June 26, while Services to Washington DC will begin from July 19, said Naveen Chawla, India regional manager.
The New York carrier will operate via Geneva, which is airline's second destination in Switzerland after Zurich. The airline will fly four-times-a-week between Doha and New York and is planning to add Nagpur and Ahmedabad to its growing network by the end of this year.
