Battle in skies goes overseas

Mumbai: Vijay Mallya has made his move and so has Naresh Goyal, when it comes to Indian skies now the battle in the skies is going overseas.
While Mallya still has no clearance to fly abroad and with Jet having only limited licenses they know it is tie-ups with global players which will let them take to foreign skies.
Sources have told NDTV that Vijay Mallya has initiated talks with Richard Branson and other leading global airlines like Brtish Airways, Lufthansa to forge alliances on international routes where Kingfisher will feed the Indian sector.
What Mallya could also do is to join the joint venture that Branson is planning with Air Asia's Tony Fernandes & easyJet's Stelios Haji-Ioannou for starting the first low cost airline offering global services.
With Jet Airways' European hub at Brussels Naresh Goyal is also trying to network with international carriers only to make sure he is not left behind.
