Clash in flight, seven passengers offloaded

Nedumbassery: Seven Kozhikode-bound passengers who allegedly disputed with the crew members of Air-India flight AI 850/851 Kuwait- Kochi - Kozhikode - Kuwait, were offloaded from the flight when the flight landed at Cochin International Airport here on Sunday evening.
The passengers alleged that they were not provided adequate facilities on board the flight. They said that the crew members insulted them when they asked for their legitimate facilities. But the crew had a different version to say.
They said that the passengers were deliberately creating problems demanding unnecessary facilities on board and misbehaved with the crew.
Acting on the complaint of the crew, the pilot asked the passengers to alight at the Kochi airport. The passengers reportedly hesitated to do so. The security personnel, however, persuaded them to alight from the flight.
The flight which reached Kochi from Kuwait at 4.50 p.m., and which was scheduled to leave for Kozhikode/Kuwait at 6 pm, was delayed due to the commotion.
