Air India gets the 777-300ER, extended range aircraft from Boeing.
This is the aeroplane has a 3-class configuration with 4 seats in first class, 35 in executive class and 303 economy class seating capacity.
The plane delivered is the 14th against the order placed by Air India in December 2005 for 68 airplanes. The other places received include 3 777-200LRs - longer range - and 10 737-800s against the December 2005 order.
The latest 777-300ER that has been delivered to the country's international carrier will be the only one of its kind in the country. The 300ER version of Boeing's 777 series can carry 365 persons in its 3 class configuration. It has a fuel capacity of 1.8 lakh litres and can fly more than 14500 kms.
