New Delhi: The Ministry of Civil Aviation has given in-principle approval to Kingfisher Airlines to import 50 Airbus aircraft including 15 Airbus A-350.
The Ministry has also given its nod to the airline for importing 20 Airbus A-320, five Airbus A-340 and 10 Airbus A-330 aircraft.
The Ministry has also given its in-principle approval to Jet Airways to import 20 Boeing 737-800 aircraft and also take 10 similar aircraft on options.
In addition the Ministry has also given permission to Deccan Aviation, the operators of Air Deccan permission to import one Airbus A-320 aircraft while MDLR airline has been permitted to import one Avro RJ-70 aircraft on long term lease.
Among the other proposals cleared by the Ministry include allowing the Mumbai-based GVK Aviation to import one Augusta A-109 Power and another Augusta A-119 Koala passenger helicopter apart from allowing the Chhattisgarh Government to import an Augusta A-109 helicopter.
