Doha firm's GM dies at Kochi airport

Kochi/Doha: The general manager of Doha's Specialised Aluminum and Steel Company (Sasco), Walter Brags, died of a heart attack at Cochin International Airport, Nedumbassery, in Kerala on Friday. He was 58.
Brags, who had gone to India to recruit staff, had checked in for his return journey to Doha when he complained of chest pain. He died before an ambulance could take him to a hospital.
A mechanical engineer, Brags joined the Sasco Group of Companies only a few months ago after a long stint in the UAE.
He is survived by his wife Melanie and a son and daughter.
Sasco managing director James K Chacko and partner Tens Chacko accompanied Brags' family members to Mumbai on Tuesday evening. His wife and daughter had come to Doha only a fortnight ago. A native of Mangalore, he had moved to Mumbai several years ago.
