International Flight Safety Conference next week

The second International Flight Safety Conference, IFSCON – 07 is being organised by the Indian Air Force in New Delhi on 09 -10 October 2007 at the Air Force Auditorium, Subroto Park. The objective of this conference is to address global aviation safety issues .The conference will provide a platform for mutual interaction of around 60 foreign delegates from 30 countries and delegates from a host of national aviation organisations.
The foreign participants include delegates from across the globe viz. Europe, Russia, Middle-East, South & South East Asia and the Americas. The number of delegate countries has more than doubled from the inaugural conference held last year. Apart from the participating delegations of different nations, defence attaches of these countries would also take part in the conference. National delegates include those from the Indian Army, Indian Navy, Coast Guard, Border Security Force, Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Airports Authority of India, Rotary Wing Society of India, Indian Airlines, private airline operators and a number of other bodies associated with aircraft research and development, certification and Quality Assurance.
In keeping with the global concerns of all aviating countries and organizations, the broad issues planned to be addressed in the conference include: New Concepts: An Overview, Accident Investigation & Safety Management, Human Factors and Environmental & Organisational Issues.
The conference would serve as a forum for meaningful interaction of experienced Aviation Safety functionaries of a spectrum of countries and agencies, all with a common goal, - promoting aviation safety. This conference will serve to smoothen adoption of new concepts and methodologies of accident prevention and significantly shorten the learning curve for induction of modern safety schemes. In this context, the theme of the Conference, Aviation Safety-A Universal Language, by itself speaks volumes of the mindset of the IAF, which seeks cooperation for an integrated approach to generate synergy in the field of Aviation Safety.
