Delhi-Jabalpur Air Deccan fight cancelled after bomb hoax

New Delhi: A hoax bomb threat along with dense fog conditions left 48 passengers of Delhi-Jabalpur Air Deccan flight stranded at Delhi airport after waiting for around six hours.
The flight was scheduled to take off at 6.55 am from Delhi for Jabalpur. But fog kept the flight waiting at the parking bay with the passengers on board. Around 9.45 am, Deccan security officer in Jabalpur got an SMS, saying that a bomb has been placed inside the flight. The Deccan security officer passed the message onto Jabalpur ATC which then passed it to the Delhi ATC.
The Bomb Threat Assessment committee decided that the plane would be evacuated and checked thoroughly. The committee gave a clearance at 12.30 pm. An hour later, the flight was eventually cancelled.
