New Delhi: India's Kingfisher Airlines will buy five more super jumbo A380s in addition to the five it has already ordered as it seeks to start international operations this year, a report said on Monday.
"Now that I have secured all the necessary clearances, I am planning to convert the options to confirmed orders," Vijay Mallya, the chief executive officer of Kingfisher, was quoted as saying by the Mint business daily.
The Indian government said this month Kingfisher would be permitted to fly overseas later this year. "We will be operating all non-stop flights to international destinations," Mallya told the newspaper.
