Afghan Airport Police Foil Drug Trafficking to India

Kabul: Police in Kabul International Airport thwarted an attempt to take heroin to India and arrested one person, said a press release from Afghan Interior Ministry issued here Monday.
"Airport police during routine search of a passenger at Kabul airport found 10 kg heroin and detained the man," it said.
The man was attempting to smuggle the drugs to New Delhi, the press release said.
However, it did not identify the nationality of the alleged smuggler.
Police at Kabul airport have arrested more than a dozen people including some Africans over the past couple of years on charge oftrafficking drug outside the country.
