New Delhi: Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, has secured rights to operate on a daily basis to Hyderabad and also been granted additional capacity to operate daily service to existing routes of Kochi and Kolkata under the bilateral agreement signed recently between Bahrain and India. The agreement was concluded after a two-day discussion between the Civil Aviation authorities from India and Bahrain.
The Indian Civil Aviation delegation was led by R K Singh, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation; M S Chopra, Deputy Secretary, Government of India along with the Civil Aviation Director for Regulation and Information, K P Maggon and other senior officials from Indian aviation. The Kingdom of Bahrain was represented by the Undersecretary for Civil Aviation Affairs, HE Capt. Abdulrahman Al Gaoud who was accompanied by HE the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Mohammed Ghassan Shaikho; Gulf Air President and Chief Executive, Björn Näf and senior officials from Bahrain's civil aviation and the airline.
