NACIL introduces integrity pact program to counter graft

Mumbai: In an effort to counter corruption and cartelisation among its vendors, the National Aviation Company of India Ltd (NACIL) today introduced an Integrity Pact Program, which will scrutinise all contracts valued at Rs 10 crore and above.
The program will be implemented by NACIL in co-operation with the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) in respect of all contracts of the value of Rs 10 crore and above, a press release issued here stated.
NACIL, in consultation with CVC, will appoint external independent monitors who will help NACIL in implementing the principal and the vendor at the pre-tender stage itself and will form a part of the tender document, the release said.
A pre-signed integrity pact by the Principal would form part of the tender document. Vendors would sign the pact and submit it along with the financial and technical bids.
