Deccan announces new cancellation, rescheduling policy

Coimbatore: Low-cost carrier Air Deccan has come out with changes in cancellation/rescheduling of air tickets.
Passengers can reschedule their ticket, namely modify the flight, sector, route and date of travel on payment of a rescheduling fee and a fare difference, up to two hours prior to flight departure. The rescheduling fee is Rs 500 per passenger per journey.
According to a communication from the airline, passengers wishing to cancel their ticket will be entitled to an open ticket in the name of the passenger which will be equivalent to the cost of the ticket after a deduction of Rs 500.
The ticket is valid for a period of 180 days from the date of issue and can be redeemed for travel on any Air Deccan sector.
Air Deccan’s detailed cancellation policy and related terms and conditions are available on the Web site www.airdeccan.net, the communication added.
