Mumbai: Jet Airways purchased the plot for Rs 8.16 billion in Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) in an auction conduct by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), reports Business Standard.
The airline company was the sole bidder for the plot.
Jet is planning to build its global headquarters at the site and shift its offices from Andheri.
However, the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) failed to get bids for two of the five plots that it auctioned in the BKC. Out of the total plots, one is intended for commercial use and the other is meant for a club house and gymnasium.
