Police register case in airport firing incident

Jammu: Police on Wednesday registered a case in connection with the firing incident and recovery of a pistol from Jammu and Kashmir Minister of State for Rural Development Javed Mustafa Mir at the airport here on Monday, official sources said.
A case has been registered against the minister and his public relation officer (PRO) Omar Ansari for causing negligent act endangering human lives due to accidental firing at Jammu airport, they told PTI.
The security staff of the Jetlite plane detected licensed Chinese pistol from the minister and later recovered it. During the checking of the pistol, an accidental fire went off resulting in injuries to two persons including his PRO who was checking the pistol.
