20kg ketamine seized from two Indians at KLIA

Shah Alam: Two Indian nationals were arrested on their arrival at the KL International Airport in separate incidents and 20kg of ketamine worth about RM280,000 were seized from them.
On Sunday, narcotics officers noticed a man who had arrived from Mumbai at 7.45am behaving suspiciously after collecting his luggage.
State Narcotics Department chief Asst Comm Nordin Kadir said his officers stopped the 34-year-old businessman, and after a thorough check, found the drug in 10 packs of flour and six boxes of food that he brought in.
Police also seized 2,200 rupees from him.
The other suspect, a 27-year-old businessman, was arrested on April 7 at 8.10am after ketamine, packed in food containers and plastic bags, was found in his luggage. He had flown in from Mumbai, too.
“We believe the two suspects are linked to a foreign drug syndicate and were supposed to hand over the drugs to local contacts,” ACP Nordin told a press conference here yesterday.
