Air India Express joins fare war, offers Rs. 99 tickets

New Delhi: The fare war in the domestic skies intensified with the public sector Air India Express, offering travellers an attractive fare of Rs. 99 per sector, excluding taxes and levies, on 84 domestic sectors on its network.
Air India Express, the low cost arm of Air India in the international sector, over the past three years has been making efforts to expand its wings in the domestic market as well.
The carrier said that the Rs. 99 fare tickets can be booked on-line through its website and through appointed travel agents. Some of the domestic sectors on offer by Air India Express are: Mumbai-Delhi-Mumbai, Mumbai-Chennai-Mumbai, Mumbai-Kozhikode-Mumbai, Mumbai-Kolkata-Mumbai, Kozhikode-Kochi-Kozhikode, Thiruvananthpuram-Kozhikode, Mumbai-Kochi-Mumbai, Kochi-Mangalore-Kochi, Delhi-Lucknow-Delhi and Chennai-Trichy-Chennai.
