Centre gives nod for new parallel taxiway for Dabolim airport

Panaji: The Union Minister for Civil Aviation, Mr Praful Patel has cleared a proposal for a new parallel taxiway for the Dabolim Airport, according to the president of the Goa unit of the Nationalist Congress Party, Dr Wilfred De Souza. Dr Wilfred speaking at a press conference held at the party headquarters today said that he had spoken to Mr Patel last night and got the nod for the project.
Dr Wilfred also said that he spoke to the minister about great inconvenience caused to thousands of Goan NRIs because of the discontinuing of the Goa-Dubai flight and added that the Minister had promised to look into the matter.
Dr Wilfred also informed that he had told the Congress in-charge of Goa, Mr Hariprasad that some decisions of the coordination committee were still pending. He said that Mr Hariprasad had promised to organise a meeting of the committee and look into the matter.
