First night flight from Hyd lands at Vizag airport

Visakhapatnam: The much-awaited wish of air travellers has come true and one can have the bird’s view of the city during night by catching a SpiceJet flight operated between Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad.
The first night flight from Hyderabad by SpiceJet landed in the city at 7.20 pm on Sunday. It was also the first flight to take off from the airport at 7.50 p.m to Hyderabad. The operation of the night-landing facility has enabled air travellers to commute between Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam quickly and frequently. The flight operations will be on between 8 a.m and 8 p.m with a three-hour break between 2 p.m and 5 p.m. Earlier, the Navy officials have run the airport between 8 a.m and 4 p.m.
Meanwhile, the flight operations at night has forced other flight operators to change their timiings as the Navy officials refused to run the airport between 2 p.m and 5 p.m due to lack of manpower.
