Global Vectra opens new hangar in Mumbai

Mumbai: Helicopter service firm Global Vectra Helicorp Ltd Thursday launched its new hangar for chopper maintenance facility at the Juhu Airport in north Mumbai. The company has been granted all the requisite approvals for the maintenance and overhaul of its Bell helicopter fleet and the first line maintenance of its current Eurocopter fleet of choppers.
“This $2.75 million (Rs.70 million) facility will allow Global Vectra Helicorp to consolidate its position as the leading offshore helicopter operator, and provide excellent support facilities for our growing helicopter fleet,” said Vectra CEO Allan Brown.
According to Brown, the first phase of the development will include the aircraft maintenance facility and associated workshops, and the second phase will provide a four-storey office block, which will accommodate all offices and essential support services required by the company.
