Rs 2L missing from checked-in baggage

New Delhi: A passenger who travelled to Kolkata on Wednesday alleged that on reaching his destination he found over Rs 2 lakh missing from his checked-in baggage.
According to sources, Pradeep Agarwal who travelled to Kolkata on Jet Airways realized he was missing cash from his baggage when he landed. He lodged an FIR with the Kolkata police and investigations are being carried out in Delhi as well. "When things go missing from checked-in baggage, it could have been tampered with both at departing arrival stations. The flight took off from Delhi and it’s possible that the money could have been taken from here itself," said police.
This is the seventh such case reported in Delhi since January this year and officials are planning a meeting with airlines representatives in the next few days to find a solution to the problem.
