Indian air hostess goes to court

Hyderabad: Senior air hostess of Indian, Amritha Ahluwalia, on Wednesday moved the Andhra Pradesh High Court, questioning the inaction of authorities on complaints made by her against specific pilots of the airline.
Justice L Narsimha Reddy admitted the writ petition. The petitioner complained that once on a flight to Dubai, she was left unattended despite the fact that she was nursing an injury.
On another occasion, the captain made an indecent proposal to her, she said, alleging gender discrimination as well.
She further complained that when she approached the court and sought action, the Pilots' Association issued a circular, warning not to fly the crew of which she is a member.
Despite such an action, the management was not initiating action against the association, she pointed out.
