Jet Airways starts daily flights on the Mumbai-Muscat sector

Muscat: Jet Airways has introduced one more destination, its third, on the India-Oman sector with the launch of services from Mumbai to Muscat on Monday. Trivandrum will follow suit shortly, top officials of the airline said here, also adding that the low cost JetLite would begin flying to Muscat and other Gulf cities within a few months.
The daily Mumbai-Muscat flight, 9W 540, departs Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport at 10.30pm, arriving at the Muscat International Airport at midnight. On the return leg, flight 9W 539 will take off from Muscat at 1am and land at Mumbai at 5.05am. The services are operated by Boeing 737-800 Next Generation aircraft with business (24 seats) and economy (120) class configuration.
The airline has announced off-peak season economy class prices of RO40 one way and RO80 return on the new route, excluding taxes of RO22 and RO41.200, respectively. The peak season (May 21 to June 15) fares will be RO50 and RO90 plus taxes.
