Jet Airways ties up with Univ. of Illinois for safety culture survey

Mumbai: Jet Airways has tied up with Institute of Aviation, University of Illinois, Urbama Champaign to conduct a safety culture survey. The survey to be conducted will be on a web-based application whereby employees of Jet Airways can fill in the answers and send it to the University. Also, a paper format of the survey will be available for employees. It will be an anonymous survey conducted within the airline. “We want to know how safety is perceived and whether the tools/medium available with the employees are sufficient enough to maintain safety standards. We are the first airline to do so and the objective is to focus our attention towards maintaining safety standards. With the survey, Jet Airways will also be able to address issues where it needs improvement and also work towards a positive working culture,” says Captain Hassan, Vice President (Operations, safety and quality), Jet Airways.
Currently, Jet Airways and University of Illinois are formulating the different aspects of the survey. The survey will start this month and is expected to be completed by October.
